Role Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar (CA/CPA qualified)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial or management accounting role
• Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax compliance
• Proficient with accounting systems (e.g. MYOB, Xero, TechOne, or ERP systems) NetSuite is advantageous
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
• Prepare monthly management reports with variance analysis and commentary against budget and forecasts
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including balance sheet and profit & loss items
• Ensure payroll journals, tax obligations, and leave accruals are accurately recorded and aligned with legislative requirements
• Maintain a strong understanding of payroll legislation, including superannuation, PAYG, FBT, and employee entitlements
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, reforecasts, and long-term financial planning
• Support external and internal audits through timely preparation of reconciliations and supporting documentation
• Perform financial modelling and scenario analysis to support business decision-making
