About the role

Blue Mountains Painting is seeking an experienced and skilled Experienced Painter - Leading Hand to join our growing team in Faulconbridge, NSW. This full-time role will involve leading and supervising a team of painters, as well as executing high-quality painting work on a variety of residential and commercial projects.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and supervise a team of painters, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and on schedule
• Perform skilled painting tasks including surface preparation, application of paints and coatings, and finishing work
• Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide progress updates
• Oversee the safe and efficient use of painting equipment and materials
• Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to less experienced painters
• Collaborate with the project manager to ensure the successful delivery of painting projects

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Painter, with demonstrated experience in a leading hand or supervisory role
• Strong technical skills in all aspects of painting, including surface preparation, paint application, and finishing
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications, plans, and safety guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and lead a team
• Commitment to safety and a proven track record of safe work practices
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills
• Relevant painting or trade qualifications (desirable)
