About the role

We are currently seeking enthusiastic workshop personnel to provide hands-on technical support to the production, and repair of equipment and tools. Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is desirable, but not essential. Candidates who are mechanically minded and keen to train and learn from seasoned trades people are encouraged to apply.

This is a full-time, permanent position and will be based at our brand new Jandakot facility in Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities include

Maintain/redress tools as per procedure or as per supervisor requests.

Perform make ups of tubulars with torque machine.

Conduct hydraulic pressure tests to ensure integrity of made-up assemblies.

Prepare equipment and load and unload equipment when sending/receiving equipment to/from the rig site.

Operate overhead cranes and forklifts. Perform slinging as per regulation.

To ensure that workshop is in a clean state at all times.

Organization of verification of metrology and equipment calibration

Maintenance of equipment in proper form.

Compliance to IOT Energy Services Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.

Uphold the highest standards of Health, Safety and Quality and have the highest regards for the protection of the Environment.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential - mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn new skills, compliance to safety legislation and desire to be part of a successful team.

Demonstrated knowledge and ability in, or desire to learn, Hydraulic and Mechanical systems and be computer literate.

Desirable - Experience in a similar role within the oil & gas or mining industry, preferably with Workshop experience in assembly / disassembly of downhole rental equipment, casing and tubular handling equipment, completions equipment, operating fully rotational torque turn units and pressure testing systems, operating forklift trucks
(up to 16T), operating overhead gantry cranes, operating High Pressure Water Jetting equipment and using hand and measuring tools.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Self-motivated and strong work ethic.

Training courses will be provided to the appropriate candidates, if necessary (Forklift Training, Dogging Training, HPWJ Training (High Pressure Water Jetting).
