Lifting Gear Hire & Sales Pty Ltd provide hire of rigging, hoisting and load testing equipment across Western Australia. Our clientele includes but is not restricted to, construction, mobile crane, port/maritime, mining/resources, engineering and civil construction sectors.

We are seeking the right person to join us in the role of workshop technician / delivery driver. The position will see you based at our workshop located in Henderson, in an ongoing full-time position (upon the completion of a satisfactory three-month trial period).

Ideally you will have recent experience within the equipment hire industry and/or lifting/rigging equipment knowledge but what is more important is your personality, willingness to learn new skills and the ability to work autonomously.

The role will include:

· Preparing and dispatching orders for upcoming jobs with accuracy,

· Inspection, testing, maintenance and cleaning of hire equipment.

· Recording inspection results with a high degree of accuracy to ensure reports comply with industry and Australian standards.

· General workshop duties including cleaning work areas and vehicles.

· Daily/ weekly forklift and vehicle checks.

· Delivering and collecting our rental equipment across the Perth Metro area.

· Hours of work 7:30am- 3:30pm Monday to Friday (some overtime may be required)

The successful applicant will have their own reliable transport, as well be a fit healthy person as this can be a fast-paced environment (a medical may be requested prior to employment) as well as the following criteria:

Essential:

· The right to work in Australia with good spoken and written English.

· Minimum full valid WA C class drivers’ licence.

· Sound knowledge of Perth metro area.

· Forklift licence.

· Punctual, show initiative and be able to accept tasking from within the small team.

· Flexibility to work in the workshop and out on the road, this is NOT exclusively a driving job.

· High personal communication, numeracy and reading skills; the ability to use various forms of technology.

Desirable:

· Medium rigid truck licence (Australian) with a current License WA status report to be provided or be prepared to work towards obtaining the licence

· Be able to secure loads on an open tray including the use of chains and binders or the ability to learn quickly on the job
