The Role

This is a dynamic and key strategic role for Daniels Donuts leading the finance team which plays a pivotal role in providing strong financial and operational support to the business. The role provides key inputs to ensure compliance with key governance programs including risk management, delegations of authority, as well as liaising with external relationships for audit, tax, banking and insurance. Key deliverables are month end close off and reporting, detailed review of balance sheet reconciliations, tax compliance including the annual tax return, and annual insurance submissions as well as daily cashflow management for the business. The role requires a senior finance leader with strong technical accounting skillset, ability to implement strong controls and lead a high performing finance function that delivers on time to support the businesses growth agenda.

What you’ll be doing

Oversee the month end process including all financial reporting including P&L, Balance sheet and cashflow statements and associated board reports

Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies – GST, PAYG, TAX, FBT

Treasury - management of cash and debt facilities and associated covenant obligations

Lead the annual audit, insurance and tax return process

Ongoing review of all finance procedures and controls with a continuous improvement mindset

Lead the budgeting and forecasting process

Focus on inventory management, production planning and factory initiatives

Key business partner with operational and business leaders to establish and report KPIs and drive actionable insights

Key finance lead for all growth and system project streams

About you

10+ years' experience, ideally within manufacturing, with prior audit background in big 4/Mid tier (CA/CPA qualified)

Demonstrated capability in leading and managing a finance team

Strong in planning and coordinating deliverables

Demonstrated ability to meet statutory obligations

Retail / wholesale / FMCG experience required (directly/indirectly)

Strong technical accounting knowledge (Accounting standards and principles)

Prior experience in leading business process improvement and project management

Proven track record of implementing a strong controls framework

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Financial modelling and analytical skills

Exposure to ERP/Inventory management system implementation
