About the Role
Faithful Futures is the new strategic plan for the Uniting Church across the Synod of Victoria and Tasmania and the presbyteries within the bounds of the Synod. The Project Officer role plays a key part in enabling the initial implementation of the Faithful Futures program.
The role drafts engagement/project plans and develops a range of resources to promote the Faithful Futures Program across the VicTas Synod. The Project Officer assists presbyteries and Synod Ministries and operations staff to proactively discuss and develop plans to enable the agreed Faithful Futures Program implementation. The role also liaises with a wide range of diverse stakeholders, coordinates meetings and completes required logistics and administration to ensure smooth and successful gatherings.
This is a part-time role (22.5 hours per week) based in the Melbourne CBD, and has an 8-month fixed term tenure.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
• Excellent project management skills
• A relevant tertiary qualification in administration, humanities, project management or community development
• An interest in assisting the Uniting Church implement the Faithful Futures plan
• Effective skills in liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders.
The successful candidate will:
• Have a Working with Children Check
• Have the right to work in Australia
• Undergo a national Police Check before commencement
