About the role

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Medical Receptionist to join our team at Carrara Family Practice in Carrara, QLD. As a casual Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our patients and medical professionals. What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients upon arrival

Scheduling appointments and managing the clinic's appointment diary

Handling patient enquiries and booking medical procedures

Processing patient registrations, updating medical records and maintaining confidentiality

Assisting with the processing of medical claims and payments

Providing general administrative support to the medical team as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service-oriented role

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients, doctors and other healthcare professionals

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Proficient in using medical and office software, including appointment booking systems

A friendly, professional and empathetic approach to patient care

Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare industry regulations
