Starting salary: $73,361.60 p.a. + Allowances + 6 Weeks Leave + Super Matching Scheme.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Waste General Hand to join our Infrastructure Services team in Tom Price.
The Waste General Hand is a multiskilled role whose duties can include operating waste collection vehicles/plant, undertaking weighbridge tasks, collecting kerb site waste or completing minor repairs to infrastructure. In addition, compliance with the Environmental and Operational Management Plans and the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation licence is required of all waste employees.
Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, versatile and happy to work either indoors or outdoors as the work requires. Essential for the role are a HR licence (or ability to obtain one) and a white card. Candidates with experience operating heavy plant such as loaders, excavators, and compactors and/or have experience working at waste facilities or in waste collection will be highly regarded.
As this is a full-time relief role the successful candidate must be prepared to provide support across all the Shire's waste facilities, and as such, travel between Shire towns will be required. Accommodation and a shire pool vehicle will be provided for travel.
This position offers a competitive remuneration package and six weeks' annual leave. All terms and conditions are as per the Shire of Ashburton Enterprise Agreement 2022.
