Salary range:
Unqualified (Level 4): $74,945 per year plus super
Qualified (Level 5): $78,588 per year plus super

About this position
The City is committed to providing attractive, safe and well-maintained parks, public spaces and natural areas for passive and active recreation while protecting and conserving the natural environment.
The Parks and Environment branch is inviting applications to join a dedicated team responsible for maintaining the City's parks and sports grounds to the highest standard.
What we are looking for
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:
Relevant industry experience in Parks Operations
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
An understanding of the challenges involved in delivering high quality, consistent public open space outcomes
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse range of staff and customers
A strong work ethic, positive attitude and an ability to foster productive working relationships
Essential requirements
Current MR driver’s licence
White Card
National Police Clearance (no more than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
Certificate III or higher in Horticulture (or equivalent). This is only essential for the Level 5 position
Desirable requirements
Spray ticket
Chainsaw ticket
Forklift / Loader / Excavator tickets
Candidates may also be considered for future similar positions if they become available within the next six months.
