The Position
The City’s busy Streetscapes Services team is looking for a dedicated and reliable General Hand to join our experienced and passionate horticultural team.
The City has over 300 parks, reserves and streetscapes and working in this beautiful environment will offer you the opportunity to expand and enhance your skills, while contributing to the wider community.
The Person
We are looking for a team player who values safety and prides themselves on quality work, completed to a high standard. This role will undertake gardening duties including planting, tree pruning, hedge trimming, weed spraying fertiliser application, pest and disease control and mulching.
Other requirements of the position include:
- Experience in landscaping and horticultural maintenance
- Satisfactory National Police Clearance
- MR Licence
- White Card
- Experience using hedge trimmers, pole saws and other equipment
- Chainsaw operation ticket or willing to obtain
- Excellent customer service skills
- Solid understanding of safety protocols
Salary: $70,010 – $73,075 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
Hours: 76 hour/9 day fortnight, Monday - Friday (with fortnightly RDO)
