Welcome to Bar Bianco. A refined location, embellished with bespoke interiors and a cuisine inspired by romantic Italy with a hint of European flair. A unique space, home to a multifaceted gastronomic reality that will allow you to choose between multiple culinary experiences, from the “on the fly” espresso, in pure Italian style, to a business lunch, to a romantic dinner. The Role
We believe in delivering memorable experiences and exceeding expectations, and as a lead member of our kitchen team, this is the forefront of what you will deliver.
Our menu starts from tradition, and it represents the history of the Italian scene in all its superb flavours. As a result of love for food and best ingredients, the selection of plates hasn’t been dictated by rules but just by passion and simplicity. Seasonality will accompany the simplest ingredients and typical Italian dishes with new, exquisite elements blending tradition and innovation.
Current operating hours are Tuesday to Saturday, therefore must be available throughout these days on a rotating roster.

The Position
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will be creative and proficient in all aspects of food preparation.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Run the day-to-day operation of the kitchen including inventory management
Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities in alignment with the menu
Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
Estimate food requirements and food/labour costs
Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
Assist the Executive Chef to recruit and manage kitchen staff
Rectify arising problems or complaints
Ensure quality of all meals leaving the kitchen and give prepared plates the “final touch”
Perform administrative duties
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers.
The Successful Candidate
At least 3 years’ experience as a Chef, ready to take on more experience
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery preferred but not essential
Excellent record of kitchen management
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
Capable of delegating multiple tasks
Communication and leadership skills
Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
Working knowledge of various computer software programs
All required certificates and education completed
Collaborative team player, who is also a self-starter who takes ownership and accountability
An optimistic and positive attitude, determined to provide the best service.
