We are looking for a passionate chef!

Set within McClelland Gallery + Sculpture Parks beautiful bushland and is surrounded by the outdoor collection of modern Australian sculptures.

Offering a seasonal menu of house made items, ensuring we deliver an innovative quality offering using local, native and seasonal produce to meet the expectations of our customers.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role supporting our culinary operation. The role offers the following:

Casual employment, 2-3 shifts a week (mostly finished by 4pm)

Cafe is open Wednesday to Sunday

About You

As an experienced Commis Chef you:

Enjoy making people happy through food

Have experience in a cafe or similar setting

Completed Cert III

Dependable

Good communicator

Can work independently

Manage a section effectively

Enjoy the energy of hospitality and the kitchen

Duties Include, but not limited to:

Ensuring quality and care with all offerings

Follow Food Safety and OH&S as directed by the Head Chef

Monitoring and maintenance of stock

Keen to contribute to daily specials and new menus

Working effectively with the kitchen team to achieve goals
