Posted 11 days ago
Market West is a not for profit, Member organisation representing fruit and vegetable wholesalers operating within the Perth Markets in Canning Vale. Market wholesalers supply fresh produce to independent retailers, secondary wholesalers/provedores, food service businesses, processors and exporters throughout Western Australia.
Market West is the state representative of Fresh Markets Australia (FMA), the national body representing wholesalers located in each of Australia’s state central markets. In coordination with the other state representatives, FMA developed the national ‘A Better Choice!’ program to encourage consumers to shop at their local independent fruit and vegetable retailer. The program aims to unite marketing efforts for local independent retailers, who purchase their product from the central markets, to counter the threat of growing competition from large supermarket chains.
The vision is to promote consumer awareness and increase the volume of fresh fruit and vegetables sourced from the central markets & sold by independent retailers participating in the program to ensure longevity of independents in Australia for future generations.
