ROLE OVERVIEW
The Camp Programs Coordinator plays a central role in delivering meaningful and memorable camp experiences for Legacy WA’s community. This position is responsible for shaping and managing the full lifecycle of the organisation’s camp programs, from planning and promotion to delivery and review. It also offers the opportunity to develop a suite of other engagement initiatives that attract veterans' families to connect with us and can feed to the camp programs.
With a strong focus on collaboration, communication, and care, the Camp Programs Coordinator ensures that every camp runs smoothly, safely, and in line with Legacy WA’s values. This is a dynamic role that combines strategic oversight with hands-on coordination, ideal for someone who thrives in a purpose-driven, people-focused setting. This position will involve time spent onsite at our Busselton campsite, actively running the camps, but is based at our offices in West Perth.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Oversight and management of Legacy WA Camp Programs.
Establishing and maintaining Camp Programs policies and procedures.
Grow the existing camp programs by working with our families, current team and stakeholders to introduce new service offerings that complement and feed a broader audience to the camp programs.
Contribution to funding applications and funding reporting
Develop and manage program budgets
Developing, embedding and continuing the operation of camp systems, promotion, stakeholder engagement, continuous improvement and reporting.
Managing all Camp Program-related communications and enrolments.
Development and delivery of training and induction for all camp stakeholders.
Coordination of delivery of camp operations.
Building strong internal relationships to ensure effective running of the programs
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Maintain a high level of satisfaction and positive feedback from participants and stakeholders.
Successful establishment of policy and processes that align with Legacy WA Values and program design.
Participant and engagement growth of Camp Programs.
High standard of scoping programs and reporting required for funding.
Programs delivered on time and within budget
Effective implementation of framework, communications and reporting within expected timeframes.
Adapt and respond effectively to feedback to continuously refine camp experiences.
Provide clear and accessible resources for training, induction, and operational support.
Encourage innovation and creativity in camp activities, fostering memorable experiences.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Background in managing camp programs or other group programs, engaging stakeholders and delivering training.
Strong written and verbal skills to effectively connect with stakeholders and share resources.
Ability to take feedback and improve camp experiences with practical solutions.
Proven teamwork and leadership skills, aligned with Legacy WA’s values.
Skilled at juggling multiple tasks for smooth camp operations and timely programs.
Talent for designing activities that leave lasting impressions on participants.
Familiarity with tools and systems for training, induction, and operations and child safe principles.
You need to be a genuine people person!

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Valid driver’s license.
Valid Working with Children Check or ability to secure
Valid Police Clearance or ability to secure
Capacity to manage logistics, including equipment transport.
HIGHLY DESIRABLE
First aid certification.
Outdoor leadership qualification.
Trauma informed practise
Project Management experience
