About the Energy Club of WA and the Next Generation Schools Program: The Energy Club of WA is an industry network and educational resource for the energy sector in Western Australia. We value the role we play in connecting people within the Energy industry, connecting the “Next Generation” in education to inspire their career pathways and connecting people to promote knowledge sharing amongst their peers. Our Next Generation Schools Program is a vital community initiative designed to inspire and educate young people about the energy industry. Through fun, interactive, and educational experiences, we showcase the critical role energy plays in our society and highlight the diverse and exciting career pathways available.
About the Role: As the Next Generation Schools Program Coordinator, you will be the driving force behind the successful delivery of this impactful program. Reporting to the Managing Governor, you will be responsible for:
End-to-End Program Management: Overseeing all aspects from planning and implementation to evaluation.
Stakeholder Engagement: Building and nurturing strong relationships with schools, industry partners, sponsors, and volunteers.
Event Coordination: Leading the organisation of key events, including school career expos, excursions, stakeholder gatherings, and our large-scale Student Expo Days in Perth Metro and the Mid West.
Financial Stewardship: Managing the program budget, tracking expenses, and actively pursuing grant applications and sponsorship opportunities to ensure the program's sustainability and growth.
Mentor Management: Recruiting and supporting our dedicated team of program mentors.
Strategic Growth: Identifying new opportunities to expand the program's reach and impact.
This role is perfect for a highly organised, proactive individual with exceptional communication skills and a positive attitude, who thrives on balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Who We're Looking For:
Highly organised individuals with a proven track record in administrative support, event coordination, or logistics management.
Exceptional organisational, administrative, and multi-tasking abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to positive stakeholder interactions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced Word, Intermediate Excel, Intermediate PowerPoint).
Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a small, dedicated team.
Desirable (but not essential):
Knowledge of the energy industry or school curriculum.
Experience in social media or marketing.
Experience in budgeting and grant submissions.
