Communion Brewing Co. is a vibrant brew pub in the seaside town of Burnie, Tasmania. We’re proud to provide a beautiful space and warm welcome for loyal locals and tourists to come as they are, to sit back, catch up, wind down, romance and debate over good food and award-winning beers.

Our 500L brewery, 150 seat restaurant (with full bar offering), and relaxed beer garden keep the punters happy, and we’ve become a key venue for events and functions. We’re keen for a passionate and efficient Senior Bar Staff member to join the team and support our staff to provide the best experience for customers.

You will be responsible for:

Working closely with and providing general support to the Venue Manager

Supervising front of house staff team and leading by example with a hands-on management style

When Supervising, taking ownership of the venue and service

Providing excellent customer service with an enthusiastic attitude to problem solving

Assisting with bar supplies and maintaining bar stock and cleanliness

Ensuring setting up and packing down responsibilities are fully completed, including cleaning and till reconciliation

Working collaboratively to build a vibrant work culture and safe work environment

Communicating effectively with owners, senior staff, front of house and kitchen staff

About you:

Confident hospitality enthusiast with a warm and informed approach to customer service

Experience in a similar position, with ability to work bar and floor

Respectful of all other team members and desire to succeed together

Capacity to supervise a team in maintaining high quality and efficient service

Excellent attention to detail and organised approach

Available and willing to work rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
