About the Roles

Cataract on Paterson and Rupert & Hound are on the lookout for enthusiastic, experienced, and customer-focused Front of House Attendants / Bar Team Members to join our vibrant teams in Launceston, Tasmania. Whether you are seeking casual, part-time, or full-time hours, this is your opportunity to work in two of Launceston’s most loved venues, delivering genuine hospitality in a fast-paced, people-first environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism

Hosting a memorable dining experience with attention and care

Taking orders, processing payments, and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

Keeping the bar clean, organised, and well-stocked

Following all liquor licensing laws and venue procedures

Assisting with general front-of-house operations as needed

Working closely with the wider team to ensure a seamless guest experience

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in an à la carte front-of-house or bar role

Sound understanding of alcoholic beverages, including Tasmanian products and cocktails

A genuine commitment to delivering excellent customer service

Confident communicator and team player

Calm under pressure and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Valid RSA (or willingness to obtain one promptly)

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
