Hicks Instant Turf is a proudly South Australian owned and operated turf business with a strong reputation for quality, service, and reliability. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our small but dedicated team in a permanent part-time capacity.
The Role:
As our Administrative Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of our office operations. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys both financial and administrative responsibilities in a close-knit team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Support:
Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment tracking
Reconcile bank transactions and maintain accurate financial records
Assist with customer payment collections and monitor cash flow
Prepare regular financial and administrative reports for management
Support the director, management, and external accountants with financial data and documentation
MYOB Operations:
Use MYOB for financial data entry and record-keeping
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the MYOB system
Administrative Support:
Manage filing systems and office documentation
Handle incoming/outgoing correspondence, emails, and phone inquiries
Order office supplies and maintain inventory
Provide administrative assistance to team members and management
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and relevant regulations
Customer & Supplier Coordination:
Assist with customer enquiries and order processing
Liaise with suppliers regarding stock orders, deliveries, and account queries
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an administrative support or bookkeeping role
Proficiency in MYOB software (minimum 5 years preferred)
Solid understanding of accounts payable/receivable and general financial processes
High attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, team-focused attitude
Forklift licence preferred (we are happy to assist the right candidate in obtaining one)
