Carers and Disability Link (CADL) focus on delivering compassionate and personalised care across regional South Australia. Our four offices are based in Nuriootpa, Woodside, Clare and Kadina. CADL support Carers, people with disability, children and young people and people aged over 65 years.

We are seeking a Project Support Officer within our Carer Support Program, who is passionate about the rights, entitlements, and recognition of Carers in the community.
This role is Permanent Part Time, working 4 days per week, located in either Clare or Kadina, and will be supporting both regions. This is a Fixed Term Contract until 30th June 2026 with potential for extension.

Parents, grandparents, partners, siblings, children, friends and neighbors may all take on a caring role at some point in their life. It is crucial that Carers receive the necessary support and resources for their important caring role.
At CADL we support Carers by offering connections with other Carers in their communities, community groups and liaison with service providers, opportunities to learn, socialise, attend forums, and outings.
The role of a Project Support Officer within our Carer Support Program will be to connect with the Carers in the Lower North and Yorke Peninsula Communities and the services that CADL and other organisations can offer.
To be successful in this position you will be able to:
Facilitate support groups and planned activities
Plan and attend Carer events and Carer group outings
Advocate on behalf of the target group or individual
Provide one-to-one support to Carers
Assist the Manager, Community Services with programming, setting priorities and reviewing work practices
Keep appropriate, accurate and confidential notes, and ensure Carer records are up to date
Provide Carers with information and resources that may meet their needs
Promote the service and the client group in a way which enhances access by the community (i.e. speaking engagements, attendance at community events, etc.)
Liaise closely with relevant mainstream providers, local communities and services to increase awareness and participation in their programs by Carers and those they care for, including working with and referring to the Carer Gateway (Carers SA) and range of service providers across the government and community sectors.
