A leading state government body is seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Services Manager to oversee and evolve its workplace environment strategy. This is a critical leadership position responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and future-ready physical environment that enables staff to deliver on core organisational outcomes.

About the Role
This role will be accountable for the planning and delivery of end-to-end facilities services, space planning, contract and asset management, fleet coordination, and the smooth running of lease negotiations and renewals. You will ensure office services support safety, wellbeing, and an engaging employee experience while managing operational risks and business continuity within the built environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic facilities planning to align with organisational goals and future growth.
• Manage day-to-day facilities services, space utilisation, and office amenity enhancements.
• Oversee lease renewals, relocations, and renegotiations in accordance with lease terms.
• Lead procurement, contract and asset management, and fleet services in line with compliance standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement and safety across all property-related operations.
• Contribute to senior leadership discussions and shape operational decision-making.

Key Criteria

• Tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Property, Business, or a related discipline.
• Membership with the Facilities Management Association (FMA)
• Extensive experience in facilities or property management, ideally within government or complex organisations.
• Strong knowledge of workplace design, lease management, and asset lifecycle planning.
• Demonstrated success in leading service transformation and delivering employee-centric environments.
• Skilled in contract negotiation, procurement, and stakeholder engagement.
• A confident leader with strong emotional intelligence and the ability to coach and inspire teams.
• Excellent risk management and project planning skills.
