As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and hands-on Mechanical Tradesperson to support drone assembly and a variety of workshop operations.

Role Overview

This is a casual opportunity for a mechanically minded tradesperson who enjoys working across a broad range of workshop tasks including mechanical assembly, fabrication, and equipment operation. You will play an important role in building and maintaining high-quality drone systems and supporting wider workshop projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble and fit mechanical components, especially for drone systems.

Assist with fabrication, including welding (MIG/ARC preferred; TIG a bonus).

Operate workshop machinery such as laser cutters, CNC milling machines (preferred but not essential).

Support with general metalwork: cutting, grinding, soldering, and finishing.

Maintain quality control throughout all stages of production.

Receive and inspect parts, manage inventory, and organize materials.

Pick up orders from suppliers as needed.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workshop environment.

Required Skills & Experience

Trade experience in mechanical fitting, fabrication, or metalwork.

Proficiency in MIG and ARC welding; TIG welding advantageous but not essential.

Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.

Ability to read technical drawings and work with precision.

Basic computer skills for inventory and documentation.

Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude.

Physically capable of manual handling and workshop duties.

Desirable Qualifications

Forklift license

Experience with CNC and laser cutting equipment

Previous work in drone assembly or high-precision mechanical builds

Current Australian driver’s license

Full working rights in Australia
