Mechanical Fitters – Precision Engineering (Bearings Focus)

Location: Bayswater, WA
Rate: $50.90/hr + super (day shift)
Shift loadings: +17.5% (afternoon), +30% (night)
Employment type: Ongoing casual with potential for permanent

We’re working with a respected manufacturer of mining and bulk materials handling equipment. Based in Bayswater, their facility is clean, modern, and built around lean manufacturing and strong safety systems.

They’re looking for trade qualified Mechanical Fitters to join their team across day, afternoon and night shifts. You’ll be working on high-precision components — ideally with experience assembling and inspecting bearings or similar toleranced work.

What you’ll be doing

Assembling and fitting mechanical components to tight tolerances

Working on precision components including bearing assemblies

Reading and interpreting detailed mechanical drawings

Using a range of precision tools (micrometres, verniers, dial indicators, torque wrenches etc.)

Supporting production teams with maintenance and quality checks

Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workspace

What we’re looking for

Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter

Experience in precision fitting – ideally with bearings or similar

Ability to read and follow engineering drawings

Confident with precision measuring tools and inspection methods

Someone who’s reliable, shows up every shift, and gets the job done

Safety-focused and works well with others
