About Us

Remote Animal Assistance (RAA) is a grassroots charity working across some of Australia’s most remote communities to reduce animal suffering and improve access to veterinary care, supplies, and education. We are advocating for innovative, community-led programs to support remote pet owners and promote long-term change.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Fundraising Coordinator to lead and grow our fundraising activities and supporter engagement. This role requires strong initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities with confidence and creativity.

You will play a key role in powering the delivery of lifesaving vet care, desexing programs, and community education initiatives in some of the most isolated areas of Australia. Working closely with RAA’s Director and Development Officer, you’ll also collaborate with volunteers and community partners to generate meaningful, sustainable financial outcomes that support our mission.

This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment where autonomy, innovation, and outcome-driven thinking are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Campaign Management

Coordinate and grow core fundraising streams, including the Weekly Charity Draw and Preventative Subscription Program

Plan, manage, and promote community fundraising events, including volunteer coordination, payment systems, equipment and stock

Analyse the success of campaigns and use insights to inform future strategy

Content & Communications

Design engaging, brand-aligned visual content using Canva

Create strategic and impactful social media content for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok (reels, stories, video), ensuring consistency in brand tone, messaging, and visuals

Conduct regular updates of the RAA website (via Wordpress) to ensure messaging is clear, current, and compelling

Grants

Identify grant opportunities and prepare high-quality submissions

Manage reporting obligations and acknowledgments

Donor Engagement

Implement donor acknowledgment processes and strategies to improve donor engagement and retention

Identify, engage, onboard and support relationships with sponsors

Systems & Inventory Oversight

Oversee fundraising inventory and equipment across multiple locations

Develop and refine systems to improve fundraising efficiency and success

Manage ongoing preventative subscription mailouts and other fundraising-related fulfilment/freight requirements

What We’re Looking For

This role requires someone with demonstrated experience in leading fundraising initiatives and managing competing operational priorities.

Essential skills and qualities:

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines

Proactive, resourceful and self-motivated, with a solutions-focused mindset

Strong writing skills with the ability to craft compelling, detailed, and high-quality grant applications

Experience using Canva and/or other graphic design programs

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small, remote team

Experience in fundraising, communications, marketing, or events

Highly regarded:

Proficiency with tools such as Monday.com, Wordpress, Stripe, PayPal for business, Square, Meta Ads Manager, and email marketing platforms is highly desirable

Passion for animal welfare and/or work in remote or regional communities is highly regarded

Ability to work from an office space in Atherton 4883

Why Join Us?

You’ll be joining a small, collaborative, and purpose-driven team committed to compassion, community connection, and long-term impact. We support flexibility, trust our team to work autonomously, and celebrate outcomes.

This role provides the opportunity to take ownership of key fundraising initiatives, bring fresh ideas to life, and make a measurable difference for animals and the communities who care for them.
