The vision is to eliminate the burden of dialysis by embracing both new and existing innovations in kidney disease treatment and support.
We are looking for a Trusts and Foundations Coordinator to support the delivery of our fundraising efforts by helping grow revenue through Trusts and Foundations. The Trusts and Foundations Coordinator will support revenue growth by identifying and securing funding from trusts and foundations.
This position is responsible for identifying, writing and submitting funding applications to support our services and programs. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a career in fundraising or the not-for-profit sector, with a passion for making a real difference in people’s lives.
The Trusts and Foundations Coordinator will also play a part in helping to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in philanthropic trusts and foundations and contribute to the ongoing development of our fundraising strategies.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct research to help identify suitable trusts, foundations, and philanthropic donors aligned with Kidney Health Australia’s mission and the End Dialysis by 2050 aspiration.
Assist in writing engaging submissions, in consultation with the appropriate Program Managers, to suitable Trusts and Foundations.
Support the preparation and maintenance of evaluation reports and data tracking for internal stakeholders.
Monitor the application process and liaise with the relevant Trust and Foundation trustee or manager.
Manage reporting, acquittals and acknowledgement requirements relating to Trusts and Foundations.
Keep across grant information and relevant trends, sharing insights across team as appropriate
Support the development and execution of pipeline of Trusts and Foundations and secure small to medium sized grant opportunities
Develop and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective engagement
Use systems and tools to ensure successful engagement from identification through to reporting
Use ethical guidelines to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
Work with Marketing team and Donor Development Manager to develop a suite of grant materials
Provide general administrative support to the team, including help with projects, coordination of tasks, and participation in external events when required.
Perform other duties as needed, under guidance of the Donor Development Manager and broader Fundraising Team
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience or exposure to writing grant applications, ideally within a not-for-profit, academic, or community setting.
An interest in and understanding of the philanthropic landscape, with a desire to learn more about how the sector functions
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with a range of stakeholders.
Excellent organisational, time and project management skills with ability to prioritise and manage competing work tasks to deliver on agreed timelines
A collaborative and proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and contribute to solutions.
Skills in managing and using databases, with attention to detail and accuracy.
An ability to work both independently and within the team to meet deadlines whilst ensuring a high-quality submission.
Open to feedback and direction.
Willingness to take initiative, handle multiple tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
A genuine interest in fundraising best practices, particularly around donor stewardship and relationship building.
