Purpose of the program
The Digital program ensure that our digital platforms are not only operational and up to date, but engaging, accessible, and aligned with our broader strategic objectives. Our digital platforms are often the first point of contact for people affected by stroke and the broader stroke community—and must deliver clear information, support, and opportunities for engagement
Purpose of the role
This role is a key enabler of our external digital connection as well as servicing internal divisions with digital initiatives and guidance. The function is integral in supporting the Stroke Foundations Digital business plan and works closely with colleagues across Corporate services, Stroke Programs, Research and innovation (SPRI), Fundraising and Development , Public affairs and media.
The Digital Coordinator will focus on maintaining digital platforms, assisting in digital projects, and providing support to ensure a seamless and engaging online experience for all users both internal and external. It will also be key in ensuring governance activities are followed through including chairing digital working groups and ensuring our ticketing process is used to keep track of digital activities.
The Digital Coordinator will balance day-to-day problem solving and operational tasks with opportunities to improve and innovate our digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with internal teams and agencies to maintain user-friendly and high-performing websites.
- Produce detailed project plans for digital projects, with milestones, key performance indicators and evaluation measures to guide it.
- Conduct the running of digital working groups with key internal stakeholders to identify new work, progress of digital activities and updates.
- Build relationships with consumers and other key external stakeholders and build processes to facilitate their ongoing engagement.
- Work across and drive stages of the digital project lifecycle – from ux/design, prototyping/testing, build/implementation, and go live.
- Ability to identify, assess and recommend the best technical and customer orientated solutions to meet stakeholder requirements
Your background, skills, and experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in information and web technologies, design, communications, business or related area.
- Strong skills in Web design and development, user testing, website management and the technologies used in online development.
- Experience in the health, community services, or not-for-profit sectors is advantageous
- Ability to research digital solutions and create briefs.
- Proven experience in project planning, delivery, promotion, reporting and evaluation.
- Ability to manage project issues as they arise and escalate where appropriate
- A design thinker who takes a customer-centric approach when developing and delivering projects
- Co-design and user testing experience
- Working with content management systems.
- Working with web analytics tools and an understanding of web best practice principles.
