About the Role
- Lead and manage staff by fostering and committing to contemporary human resource policies, procedures and guidelines, equal employment opportunities and anti-discrimination requirements.
- Identify and support the supervision and training needs of peer workers who report to this position, including the provision of operational supervision.
- Liaise and consult with key stakeholders regarding the mental health activities, consumer and carer groups, and participate in the development of collaborative partnerships with service providers to ensure provision of quality services that are responsive to the needs of all stakeholders.
- Exercise high level interpersonal, consultation and communication skills with stakeholders, team members and other service providers regarding service development, evaluation and quality improvement activities, to ensure continuous provision of quality services.
This is an identified vacancy with a genuine occupational requirement for the position to be filled by a candidate who has a personal lived/living experience of mental health and/or substance use issues, or a personal lived/living experience of caring for a person with mental health and/or substance use issues. Candidates not meeting this criteria will not be considered.
