ABOUT THE ROLE
The ICT Senior Project Manager will work with relevant stakeholders to ensure complex/large ICT communications infrastructure projects are realistically planned, developed, implemented and evaluated within the agreed timeframes and budgets.
The Senior Project Manager will provide project management expertise, project support, and communications infrastructure (data cabling, comms rooms, server rooms, ICT UPSs) in facilitating the achievement of operational project, corporate objectives, strategies and plans in an efficient and effective manner. They will coordinate and manage the risk, quality and progress of ICT projects to organisational project governance standards, and ensures projects have a strong change management plan in place are completed on time, on budget, to quality standards, and within agreed scope.
This role will act as an advocate for and demonstrate a high-level knowledge of project governance and to apply these skills to support the achievement of short and long-term business goals/projects.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
- Extensive experience and knowledge in all technical aspects of design, specifying standards, quality assurance, and project management of structured cabling, rack layout design and UPSs for data centres, servers rooms, comms rooms for critical environments such as control centres and operational stations (eg ambulance) for emergency services organisations in a managed service or outsourced ICT environment.
- Proven experience and awareness of safe work practices for working in hazardous environments such as buildings containing Asbestos.
- Thorough understanding of relevant Australian and International Standards and NSW Health standards with an ability to contribute to setting and revision of NSW Standards.
- Demonstrated experience in overseeing effective project management and change. Preferably in a health environment, including industrial, operational commissioning, communications, risk management.
- Superior skills in relationship management, influencing, negotiating, coordinating multiple parties, consulting and communicating, both oral and written, on complex issues.
- Issues management skills and ability to work within short timeframes on sensitive and complex matters and provide high level advice.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to make decisions based on sound judgments. Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Tertiary qualifications in project management / change management or related field or equivalent extensive proven demonstrated experience or a combination of both qualifications and experience, in the management and implementation of changes in a complex delivery environment, and relevant certifications in data cable design.
- Prepared to travel extensively around New South Wales visiting NSW Ambulance 240+ locations.
