About the Opportunity
Reporting into the Director, Major Projects and Planning, we are looking for a strategic and consultative Change Manager to lead communications and change management initiatives across key University projects, with a primary focus on infrastructure planning and the delivery of our new Brisbane CBD (Treasury) campus.
In this role, you'll apply your expertise in change and communications to drive cultural change, enhance staff and stakeholder experience, and support a range of corporate service initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams as well as external design, technical, and construction partners to ensure smooth and successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with a wide range of stakeholders to assess change readiness, identify change activities, and address resistance to build support for transformation initiatives.
- Design and implement effective change management and communication strategies using best-practice methodologies, ensuring business impacts and people-related risks are identified and addressed.
- Lead change and communications for the delivery of the new Brisbane CBD (Treasury) campus, supporting a smooth transition across the University.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships across the University and with external partners to enable successful change through impact assessments, readiness reviews, and stakeholder engagement.
- Work with communications teams to develop and deliver high-quality, timely communications that support program goals and keep stakeholders informed throughout the change journey.
- Support the continuous improvement of change and program management frameworks, tools, and methodologies across Corporate Services.
- Develop and deliver training, tools, and resources to support teams transitioning to new environments and ways of working.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness and impact of strategic initiatives, including return on investment and alignment with organisational goals.
- Navigate complex and ambiguous transformation challenges, applying human-centred design, data analysis, and process improvement approaches to deliver meaningful outcomes.
- Coach and support project teams and stakeholders in embedding change and transformation practices across the University.
About you
- The occupant will have at least 5 years of experience in project and change management, along with demonstrated high-level skills in managing similar projects within comparable environments, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/ training.
Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check.
What we can offer
This is full time, two year fixed term opportunity based at Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
HEW 10 Salary - $142,222.18 + 17% super. Full package - $166,399.96.
