A major Queensland Government program is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the modernisation of a large-scale Integrated Offender Management System (IOMS). This high-impact role sits at the centre of a complex digital transformation program involving cloud migration, service-layer redevelopment, and the creation of a new, mobile-accessible user interface.

The Role:
As the Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of a multi-year transformation, managing internal resources, vendors, and BAU support teams. You'll report directly to the Project Director and work closely with solution architects, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver project outcomes that are scalable, secure, and aligned with broader strategic and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning and delivery of large-scale ICT transformation initiatives

Manage the design, build, and implementation of Azure-based cloud services and web-based UI

Coordinate cross-functional teams including BAs, developers, architects, and suppliers

Develop project plans, risk registers, reports, and governance materials

Drive agile, iterative delivery in a multi-supplier environment

Facilitate stakeholder engagement across technical and executive levels

Monitor performance and ensure delivery to scope, schedule, and budget

What You'll Bring:

10+ years of project management experience with 5+ in senior roles

Proven success delivering complex systems integration and cloud migration projects

Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, and modern software delivery practices

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Highly developed risk, governance, and resource management capabilities

Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams and vendors

Project management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP)

Desirable: experience in corrections, justice, or offender/case management systems
