Business Development Manager – High Voltage Products

Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to drive sales and strategic growth across Australia’s high voltage infrastructure markets.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to achieve sales objectives.
- Promote the company’s services and maintain close, ongoing relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for high voltage products, especially in mining, data centres, utilities, infrastructure, and major industrial sectors — aligned with the company’s growth strategy.
- Manage and grow existing customer relationships to meet sales targets for the assigned product area.
- Work with the General Manager to develop and maintain account plans.
- Collaborate with General Managers and Sales leaders across the business to align on strategies.
- Travel regularly to visit clients across local and interstate locations.
- Identify suitable projects and opportunities to be tendered, following the bid/no-bid process.
- Support the estimating team in the preparation and submission of tender responses.
- Engage with supply chain partners to ensure competitive and reliable delivery of solutions.
Skills/Qualifications:
- At least 5 years’ experience in Australia in business development or sales roles, ideally within mining, data centres, utilities, infrastructure, or heavy industry (national experience is a bonus).
- Deep knowledge of high voltage switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and integrated packaged solutions.
- Electrical trade qualification or tertiary qualification in engineering.
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets.
- Clear and confident communicator with strong critical thinking skills.
- Skilled in negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
- Willingness to take direction and adapt as needed
