To be successful you will need:

A degree in Accounting.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.

Adaptability to different software environments and able to work with their various pros and cons.

To be motivated by deadlines.

The ability to ‘know the numbers’ in depth.

A solid understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping best practices.

Experience managing general ledger functions and overseeing month-end/year-end close processes.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent numerical skills and an aptitude for financial analysis.

Experience with daily invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bookkeeping activities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

Energetic, reliable, organised, customer centric and solution oriented.

Duties will include but not limited to:

Prepare and coordinate monthly financial reporting activities and address issues ensuring the reliability of financial information through analysis and collaboration.

Analyse and reconcile data outputs to ensure the integrity of financial information systems.

Manage or oversee the full accounting cycle, including invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, financial reporting and all compliance activities.

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards as well as corporate and tax laws and regulations.

Document, implement and monitor appropriate internal controls in line with the Company’s internal control framework.

Manage and mentor the small finance team, providing guidance and support to drive continuous improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insight and support business objectives.

Managing the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting using XERO.

Handling accounts payable and receivable.

Processing financial transaction and maintaining accurate records.

Supporting month-end and year-end close activities.

Preparing weekly cashflow reports and weekly payroll.

Partnering with our external accountants on quarterly BAS, tax compliance, FBT and other requirements.

Processing payroll weekly through out timesheet software and XERO.

Sharing admin responsibilities to keep things running like clockwork.

Managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, including loading payments, reviewing and processing supplier payments and supplier reconciliation.

Manage the reconciliation of bank statements.

Daily reconciliation of bank transactions

Completion of end of month accounting procedures (such as reconciliation of balance sheet accounts) to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, carriers and suppliers.

Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger and reconciliations.

Liaise with external auditors and support annual audits.
