We are currently seeking a Group Accountant for a diversified family investment firm with operations across several sectors, including commercial property asset management, over 50’s lifestyle resorts, childcare assets, service stations, convenience/retail sites, managed funds, syndicated property holdings and developments etc.
The role is based at Eight Mile Plains office and offers the opportunity to oversee the Accounts Receivable Officer ensuring tasks and performance targets are met in collaboration with the Directors.

About the Role
As Group Accountant your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the accounting team to ensure timely preparation of monthly rental invoices for commercial tenants, including outgoing budgets and invoices.
Managing rental and outgoing arrears follow-ups.
Handling data entry for commercial property management and accommodation-related businesses.
Assisting the bookkeepers with invoice review and payment processing.
Authorizing payments.
Preparing quarterly financial reports for the group and individual entities.
Conducting cash flow forecasting.
Coordinating the preparation, review, and sign-off of end-of-financial-year accounts, and assisting the team in responding to external accountant queries for EOFY accounts and tax returns.
Collaborating with the property manager on rent reviews, market appraisals, contract negotiations, maintenance, and other expenditures.
Working with the office manager on the Directors' personal financial affairs, including managed funds and SMSFs.
Continuously reviewing and improving the financial management practices of the Group to enhance both administrative efficiency and overall financial performance.
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in a similar accounting role is essential.
Experience in property management or commercial property investment/management is highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills.
Proficiency in accounting software (MYOB is a must) & Microsoft Excel (all aspects of spreadsheeting and reporting).
Experience with financial reporting software. Fathom is used by the Group.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
