About the Business

This is an opportunity to join a well-established wholesale and distribution business based in Fyshwick, ACT, supplying fireplace and BBQ accessories to retail and commercial clients across Australia. Operating from a local warehouse, the business prides itself on efficient service, quality products, and a supportive team environment. With continued growth, we are now looking to add a dedicated Bookkeeper and Admin Support professional to the team.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-focused Bookkeeper and Admin Support professional to assist with our financial and administrative operations. This is a fully office-based role, working Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, offering stability, variety, and the chance to be an integral part of a supportive small team. You’ll be responsible for accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general office support using MYOB and Xero.

Key Responsibilities

Manage accounts receivable, including invoice generation, payment tracking, and follow-ups

Perform regular bank and account reconciliations with accuracy

Maintain financial records in MYOB and Xero

Provide customer service support via phone and email

Assist with general office duties such as data entry, filing, supply management, and correspondence

Answer and direct calls professionally and promptly

Liaise with internal staff and external clients to ensure efficient business operations

Support management with basic reporting and administrative tasks as needed

Skills & Experience Required

Proficiency in MYOB and Xero is essential

Solid experience with accounts receivable and reconciliation processes

High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Professional phone manner and communication skills

Previous experience in office administration and customer service

Ability to prioritise, work independently, and manage multiple tasks efficiently
