Matchfit have been engaged to source an experienced Environmental Advisor for ongoing CSG construction project in the Surat Basin.

This work is with a well known contractor who focus on building pipelines and gathering infrastructure for the resources sector.

They have recently been awarded new packages of work from there long standing client who they have partnered with for many years.

This will run on a family friendly roster (18/10) meals and accommodation are provided.

Reporting to the Project Director and interfacing with the end client your duties will include:

Provide advice and support to the construction management team to ensure compliance with statutory and client environmental obligations.

Implementation of Environmental Management Plans.

Communication of Environmental issues, standards, and procedures.

Assist in the development and maintenance of environmental audits.

Undertake daily and weekly Environmental Inspections.

Assist in identifying Environmental training requirements.

Incident Classification, notification and analysis of Environmental Incidents, Investigation, Analysis and Reporting.

Ensure all incident event investigations investigation, and close out of corrective actions.

Promote a dynamic and positive Environmental culture focused on achieving success.

Absolute must haves are:

Experience with developing management plans and procedures– erosion sediment control plans and environmental management plans

Experience in undertaking inspections/audits of site conditions and compliance – developing reports and communicating with work crews about requirements

Knowledgeable with all aspects of environmental legislation and notifications to relevant departments for varying scopes of work including working in/around waterways

To be considered for this opportunity you need to meet the following criteria also:

Minimum 2 years' experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role - CSG sector preferred.

Experience in working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works building strong working relationships with construction personnel, client and stakeholder representatives to achieve sound environmental outcomes.
