The Opportunity:
Reporting to the CEO, you will design, implement and lead the credit assessment function for unsecured loans to SME’s in Australia. This includes:
Designing and implementing the credit assessment model and policy utilising customer bank statement data and AI assisted processing tools.
Review recent credit and financial information of each customer to determine their creditworthiness and likelihood to meet future loan repayment obligations.
Assess each customer application including performing loan serviceability calculations, credit checks and customer due diligence.
Determine a suitable loan structure, security, term and interest rate.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment of SME loan applications.
Perform due diligence on credit and financial related aspects of the customer with strong attention.
Determine confirm creditworthiness and provide a recommendation to the Credit Committee.
Create a Credit Approval Summary outlining the factors for consideration, key determinants in the credit decision and recommended next steps.
Manage credit risk, ensuring all credit policy and guidelines are maintained and applied to appropriate decisions.
Build strong and constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide insights and suggestions for policy, process and operational improvements.
Perform any other duties or functions as required or assigned.
About You:
A degree in a business-related field.
At least five years experience in a Fintech credit assessment role.
Exceptional stakeholder relationship management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills.
A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify discrepancies within data.
Ability to work both autonomously and in a team, in a high-pressure work environment.
A fluid approach to negotiating, decision making and achieving commercial outcomes.
Ability to adapt and demonstrate a flexible and agile mindset.
