Every day brings something new. As a Horticulturist at The Garden Barber, you’ll be transforming high-end gardens with your skills and creativity. You’ll engage in tasks such as:

Gardening: Hedging, mowing, whipper snipping, pruning, planting, and mulching.

Plant Health Expertise: Pest and disease identification, assessment, and treatment using organic horticultural solutions.

Creative Garden Design: Contribute to beautiful plantings, designs, and layout enhancements.

Client Engagement: Connect with our high-end clients and be part of creating breathtaking garden spaces.

Leadership & Initiative: Bring ideas, solve problems, and lead from the front. Your independence and ambition will be celebrated.

Are You Our Next Horticultural Hero?

✅ To thrive at The Garden Barber, you’ll need to be:

✅ Independent — You’re a self-starter who’s resourceful and capable of working on your own initiative.

✅ Experienced — You’ve got at least 2 years’ horticultural experience and a Cert 3 in Horticulture (or equivalent)

✅ Plant-Savvy — You know plants, pests, and diseases like the back of your hand.

✅ Physical & Prepared — You’re fit, ready to work in hot, humid summer conditions, and capable of towing a trailer.

✅ Problem-Solver — You’re solutions-focused and never afraid of a challenge.

Essential Requirements:

Cert III in Horticulture or higher

Minimum 2 years’ experience in horticulture, plant health, and pest control

Manual Driver’s License (Class C) with trailer towing experience

Physical fitness for outdoor work in varied weather conditions
