At Lite Haul Trailers, we build high-end, custom trailers — from premium horse floats and goosenecks to tradie trailers, toy haulers, and heavy-duty rigs up to 15T.

No factory-line welding. No rinse-and-repeat chassis work.

We’re after a trade-qualified Boilermaker who takes pride in quality, works well with an apprentice, and wants to grow with a team that’s building the future of Australian trailers.

Your Day-to-Day:

MIG welding floors, walls, roof frames, drawbars, and chassis

Working from detailed fabrication drawings and jigs

Building a range of trailers: horse floats, goosenecks, tradie rigs & toy haulers

Collaborating with our fit-out and finishing crew

Working solo when needed and overseeing an apprentice offsider

You’ll Need:

Boilermaker trade cert OR 5+ years fabrication experience

MIG welding skills (mild steel)

Ability to read and interpret plans

Strong work ethic — can lead your bay and take initiative

Current driver’s licence (forklift ticket a bonus)

💰 What You Get:

$50/hr base rate, PLUS:

Time & half for hours 41–50

Double time for hours 51+

40–60 hours/week

Start between 5:00 AM – 6:00 AM, early finish

Weekly pay, overtime always paid

PPE provided

Workshop Location

We’re based in Mount Tyson QLD, 30 mins from Toowoomba. Easy access, secure parking, and a straight-talking team that respects good trades.
