We are moving into a brand new Varsity Lakes office, and we’re looking for a confident Supervisor / Team Leader to guide a small pod of accountants. You’ll be the first review of group tax work, work directly with clients & the team for a portfolio of ambitious SMEs.

What you’ll do

First review of company, trust, partnership, ITRs and BAS/IAS before Director review.

Support the team – help provide feedback and on the job training to the pod, help run short weekly WIP huddles, be a sounding board for client queries - effectively keep the jobs flowing.

Maintain client touch-points – handle everyday communication with the junior team members and clients, touch base with clients to let them know how the job is going.

Guide the workflow – allocate jobs in Karbon, help your team achieve their budgets & deadlines.

New business meetings – Opportunity to hold new business meetings with clients, to bring new clients on board. Be a confident communicator and sell the benefits of our firm to potential new clients.

What you’ll bring

CA or CPA qualified (or close) with 5–7 years’ public-practice experience, existing staff supervision a bonus - but we are happy for candidates stepping up into this role.

Solid Australian tax knowledge across group structures and tax planning solutions.

Confident reviewer who gives clear, practical feedback to junior staff members.

Clear communication skills with the ability to convert the 'technical tax gobbledygook' into common english for our clients.

Familiar with Xero/XPM, Karbon or similar cloud tools.

A respectful and approachable demeanour to both team members and clients.
