About the role

Parent to Parent Association Queensland Inc. is seeking a passionate and organised Project Coordinator to join our team in our Hervey Bay office. This is a casual role that will involve coordinating and delivering a series of capacity building workshops across the Hinkler Region.

What you'll be doing

Deliver face-to-face workshops within the Hinkler Region.

Use inclusive facilitation techniques tailored to a diverse range of target audiences including people with intellectual disabilities and people with Autism.

Support participants to build knowledge, confidence, and practical skills.

Liaise with local stakeholders, including families, services, and community organisations.

Ensure workshop environments are respectful, safe, and supportive

Organise the workshops including booking venue, catering, registrations.

Liaise with the internal communications team to create promotional materials.

Attend networking meetings to promote the events.

Maintain project documentation, such as plans, schedules, and status reports.

Identify and address potential risks or issues that may impact project delivery.

What we're looking for

Strong background in community facilitation, disability advocacy, training, or community development

Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse audiences.

Understanding of human rights, supported decision-making, and inclusive practices.

Experience working alongside people with lived experience of disability is highly regarded

Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel regionally.

Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain).
