We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Sales & Events Executive to drive event and charter sales for the entire fleet.

In this role, you will report to GM - Sales.

Australian Cruise Group is Sydney premier cruise operator with 3 unique vessels: Sydney Showboat, Clearview Glass Boat and Magistic Two.

The candidate must have experience in a leading hospitality and events company with a strong focus on tailoring events to meet the client’s requirements. This role is perfect for someone who is performance oriented, thrives on bringing people together and curating standout events.

Responsibilities

Proactively drive function and event sales – focusing on corporate and social events

Prepare accurate detailed quotes based on personalised event packages, as per client’s requirements

Follow up quotes and maximise conversion of sales

Ability to achieve and exceed individual sales targets

Ensure function event sheets are accurate and collaborate with operational teams (hospitality, kitchen and marine) to ensure seamless event execution

Build long-term client relationships and foster repeat business

Contribute ideas to the event calendar and develop in-house experiences that grow the business

Track sales performance, competitor activity, and identify new opportunities for sales growth

Experience and Qualifications

Minimum 3 years sales experience in a reputable event venue company in Australia

Tertiary qualifications preferred

Essential Skills

Fast and accurate typing skills: 70+ wpm (absolutely essential)

Accuracy and attention to detail with numerical skills

Administrative skills, including proficiency with Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Exceptional communication skills to build client relationships

Well-presented individual with sharp business skills

Ability to work autonomously and take initiative

Strong organisation and the ability to juggle multiple events at once

Commercial mindset and attention to sales and event outcomes

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed

Other Requirements

Must be an Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen. Visas will not be considered.
