BASScare is a Not For Profit organisation which operates an integrated program of services including meals-on-wheels, residential care facilities, respite care, dementia specific services, retirement living, as well as planned activity groups at day centres, for older people who wish to remain active and engaged with their local communities.

BASScare’s Head Office, is currently searching for an experienced People and Culture (P&C) Shared Service Advisor. We are located in the leafy suburb of Canterbury.

About the role:

The P&C Shared Service Advisor role is supporting the daily functions of the P&C department. This role is responsible for delivering efficient, accurate, and timely services. The position ensures compliance with P&C policies, employment legislation, and internal procedures, while also contributing to a positive employee experience and supporting broader P&C initiatives and projects.

About You

  • Provide advice first level support on HR Matters including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, onboarding and policy interpretation
  • Assist with end-to-end onboarding and induction processes
  • Maintain and update HR records, systems and reports ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality
  • Prepare P&C metrics to populate People Plans as well as related monthly reports and metrics
  • Assist with maintaining and reporting on Learning & Development data
  • Above all, you are a team player who enjoys problem-solving, continuous learning, and contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Essential attributes for the role

  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Demonstrated 2 year minimum work experience in a HR / P&C administration role
  • Demonstrated experience with recruitment / onboarding process.

Desirable attributes

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred or working towards
  • Understanding of award interpretation or enterprise agreements
  • Familiarity with workplace health and safety procedures or compliance frameworks
