The Role

Contribute your strong financial accounting skills and hit the ground running by joining a well-respected non-profit organisation. This urgent start temporary role will assist a busy and dedicated team with a range of finance and accounting duties.

Main responsibilities include:

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Complete monthly financials to assist in decision making
• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports and budgets
• Provide analysis of the fixed asset register
• Communicate and collaborate cohesively with key stakeholders and the broader finance team by providing finance and accounting expertise
• Prepare quarterly BAS reports
• Assist with interim and year end audit preparation along with annual reports
• Credit card management/reconciliation

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification/s in accounting or a similar discipline, and membership of a professional accounting body (CPA or CA) is preferred but not essential
• Strong, relevant experience in all aspects of financial accounting including the ability to provide accurate reports, financial statements and optimal asset utilisation
• Demonstrated ability to meet strict timeframes while producing high quality and accurate work
• Strong working knowledge and understanding of all accounting standards
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a broad range of internal stakeholders
• Meticulous, thorough and process-driven
• A curious, solutions-focused thinker, with the capability and eagerness to hit the ground running in a fast-paced role
