Financial Accountant position with a revenue focus

Not-for-profit environment experiencing major growth and expecting more in the future

Parramatta location with 2 days working from home, paying $50 - $60/hr + super for a 3-month temporary position

The Role

This Financial Accountant position will be heavily involved in the revenue side, your responsibilities will include:

Validate and issue high volumes of invoices and ensure accurate receipting

Perform bank and revenue reconciliations and track fund receipts

Prepare and reconcile key revenue-related balance sheet accounts

Process month-end journals and intercompany revenue transactions

Interpret funding contracts to ensure correct revenue recognition (AASB 15/1058)

Maintain the aged receivables register

Support external audit queries and provide revenue-related insights to management

Your Background

To be considered for this opportunity, they are looking for someone with:

Minimum 2 years of experience in revenue-related roles

Strong communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders

A strong understanding of AASB 15 and AASB 105B accounting standards will be highly regarded

Strong Microsoft Excel experience
