About the Hospital and the Role

Secure your next role in your career at Kings Park Day Hospital as Patient Services Associate. The ideal candidate will be pleasant, compassionate and work alongside a team of reception staff, anaesthetic technicians, nurses, anaesthetists and surgeons at our day hospital licensed for ENT, Oral Surgery, Dental and Plastics. The suitable candidate can work up to full time hours.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities include:

Greet patients, family members and carers

Complete admission and discharge activities

Provide high quality customer service and patient experience

Enter data on information management systems, booking appointments and records management

Team focused approach with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to create a pleasant environment for staff, patients and carers

Liaise with patients and their families in a compassionate manner

Undertake health fund eligibility checks

Provide receipts for excess and self-funded payments

Skills and Experience required for the position:

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Experience in hospital reception, admission and discharge of patients

Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

Understanding of patient privacy and confidentiality

Working knowledge of medical software systems, word and outlook

Flexibility to cover leave and work up to full-time hours which may make this role unsuitable for students

Exceptional customer service skills

Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

Commitment to quality, best practice and environmental safety

Accurate data entry for patient admission and discharge

DESIRABLE

Experience using medical software.

A sound knowledge of Private Health Funds and billing processes
