Position Overview:

We’re on the lookout for a CA / CPA, with a minimum of 5 years of experience, who’s ready to dive into a hybrid role in tax services and management accounting for some large clients! The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Australian tax law and regulations, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record in providing high-quality tax advisory and compliance services.

This is a full-time position. Please note, only candidates who reside in Greater Melbourne with legal right to work in Australia will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert tax advice and solutions to clients across various industries.

Prepare and review tax returns, financial statements, and other compliance documents.

Conduct tax planning and research to optimize clients’ tax positions.

Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.

Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients.

Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on all tax-related matters.

Supervise and mentor staff, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices.

Stay up to date with the latest developments in tax legislation and accounting standards.

Key Requirements:

Accountant (CA / CPA) qualification

Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting within a business services environment.

In-depth knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience with the following or similar - Xero, MYOB, Dext, Hubdoc, Fathom and Tax Preparation Tools
