We are seeking a caring and reliable Child Care Support Worker to provide nurturing care for students’ babies and young children (up to 3 years old) at Foundation College in Frankston.

This important role supports young parents in continuing their education by offering a safe and stimulating environment for their children during school hours.

Foundation College

Foundation College is an independent specialist assistance school educating young people aged 15-19 who may have experienced barriers to learning. Foundation College offers Victorian Pathway Certificate as well as the VCE Vocational Major for years 11 and 12 on two campuses: Casey (Narre Warren) and Peninsula (Frankston).

The Learn Engage Connect Young Parent Education Program (YPEP) is supported by the Frankston Mornington Peninsula LLEN to provide a comprehensive education platform to cater to the unique needs of young parents juggling parenthood and academic aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality care and supervision for children aged 0–3 years

Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment tailored to early childhood needs

Support daily routines, including feeding, sleeping, and age-appropriate play and learning activities

Maintain consistent and effective communication with school staff and student parents

Ensure the childcare space remains clean, hygienic, and well-organised at all times

Implement and embed the Abecedarian Approach Australia (3a) strategies to enhance interactions, support child development, and promote early learning outcomes

Requirements:

Experience working with young children (0–3 years)

A genuine passion for supporting young families

Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or care (or working towards)

Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)

First Aid and CPR training (or willingness to obtain)

This is a 12 month fixed term, part-time role (3 days per week, Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays). Hours 9:00am to 3:30pm and would suit someone looking to make a meaningful impact in an education-based community setting.
