We are seeking an Operations Manager/ Business Development Role. Applications to be part of our Baaz leadership team in Baaz Victorian Office that will influence, support, and develop our people.
This position is responsible for the overall performance of the company and client, achieving Baaz Security’s business results by building a positive customer experience, quality client service and premium service offering.
Key responsibilities include:
Team Leadership/Management
· Completing the rostering/scheduling for our security operations on client sites and filling vacant shifts in line with site requirements and safe rostering practices.
· Frequently help and conduct interviews, meetings, and training programs for improving standards with staff.
· Assisting, monitoring, and getting a report from Payroll, HR, Supervisor's.
· Liaising with our clients and security personnel in regard to shift arrangements and briefing staff of their duties to meet our client's needs.
· Frequently review client requests and respond in a prompt and timely manner
· Finalize and improve in Shift charts and Rosters for all sites.
· Be on-call outside of business hours on a rotating basis with the other schedulers and managers of our Operations Team.
· Assist, Control & Improve in rostering and help in arranging coverage for any sickness or annual leave requests.
· Response and resolve to client and customer complaints also stop/minimize for the repeat disorders.
· Take responsibility for building a high performing team within the including; Security guards & Crowd controllers.
· Role model best practice behavior at all times creating a culture of quality and high standard
· Ensure & monitor staff comply with BAAZ policies and procedures at all times
· Take ownership for motivation and engagement of all of your team.
* Leadership and operational support to 100 or more staff;
· Supervise and manage Security Officers in accordance with the Guidelines.
· Reviewing and giving feedback for guard’s written incident reports and sharing it with client.
· Ensure compliance with all aspects of the site security operations adhere to by the contract and industry regulatory requirements on behalf of Baaz Security
· Creating relevant site management and compliance reports to the business
TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, YOU WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING;
Possession of a current VIC Security License, VIC Drivers licence, Current First Aid.
* • Ability to work over-time including weekends and nights.
Coverage of guards by client can be requested 24x7 by client, so ability to answer phone and act request without time delay.
Previous minimum 1-2 years of management experience in a similar environment.
Experience in the security industry as a site manager or security consultant.
Cert IV in Security and Risk Management will be highly regarded (Not compulsory);
Experience in leading medium-sized teams to achieve excellence.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Highly developed computer (Ms Office (mandatory), Rostering Software (mandatory), Xero Accounts –(preferred) and administration skills
* Proven ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
Good organisational skills and proven ability to establish priorities, manage tasks and meet competing deadlines whilst maintaining attention to accuracy and detail.
Client Partnership-
Build and maintain relationships with clients, and engage with Baaz management, and employee
Monitor and audit service delivery to ensure that the level and quality of service delivered to clients is in line with the requirements of contractual requirements and Baaz standards.
Understanding the security and safety needs of the client and promoting Baaz value proposition to meet them.
Point of contact between all clients & employees
Coordinate for Training inputs and Training Need Identification for all staff members and sharing memo and minutes.
Manage, maintain and achieve employees KPI's.
Providing help and advice to customers using organisation’s Services.
Communicating courteously with clients/employees by telephone, email, letter and face to face.
Analysing statistics or other data to determine the level of customer service your organisation is providing.
Training staff to deliver a high standard of customer service
Leading or supervising a team of customer service staff
Learning about your organisation’s products or services and keeping up to date with changes
Report feedback, performances and status of incidents, Security officers to Operational manner.
Commercial Business Acumen
Tracking all employee payroll costs (wages and salaries), ensuring total expenditure does not exceed budgets.
Making business decisions with the client to reflect Baaz brand, service offerings and customer service
Comply with audit standards as per the industry audit requirements
Business Development Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the security industry (corporate, retail, events, construction, etc.) and expand existing accounts
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Develop and deliver tailored proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
Collaborate with operations and management teams to ensure client requirements are met.
Maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and produce regular sales forecasts and reports.
Attend networking events, industry expos, and client meetings to increase brand visibility.
