About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll inherit a healthy portfolio of trade and commercial accounts and the freedom to shape your own territory plan. The brief is simple: protect the base, open new doors and grow revenue across all routes to market—builders, developers, electrical trades and boutique retailers—while showcasing the company’s in-house design capability.
Key responsibilities
Develop and execute a territory growth plan covering builders, developers, trade wholesalers and selected retail showrooms.
Nurture relationships with existing customers and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
Prospect and secure new projects via site visits, tender follow-ups and design presentations.
Work with the internal lighting-design team to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions.
Achieve monthly revenue and margin targets; maintain accurate CRM and pipeline data.
Provide market feedback on product gaps, competitor activity and emerging trends.
What you’ll bring
Proven business-development success in lighting, electrical, building products or a related technical category.
Existing network among Melbourne builders, developers or electrical trades is ideal.
Strong presentation skills; comfortable running product demonstrations and design reviews.
Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously—this is a field-first role.
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel across greater Melbourne.
