We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced individual to join our Container Operations team as a;

FLEET CONTROLLER/ALLOCATOR

MUST HAVE proven experience in container freight transport planning, driver/fleet allocating and dispatch experience.

The successful applicant will need to be flexible, able to travel to work in Banksmeadow and have the passion to work with a team of likeminded and energetic staff.

As part of a busy and progressive transport company, you will be responsible for ensuring that all deliveries for any given day are planned and allocated correctly. This is a senior position on night shift and as such you will take responsibility for all activities on and in a large container depot.

Your responsibilities shall include:

Safety first mindset in all aspects of the operations.

Customer contact to help focus on the fleet and meet deliveries.

Preparing documentation for drivers and following through to make sure all customs and AQIS procedures have been carried out and met.

Co-ordinate and monitor data management system to ensure most efficient use of drivers and vehicles to meet set schedules.

Hands on approach to ensuring the operations, client requirements and time schedules are met.

Accurate completion of data entry and driver scheduling through our transport management system (Freight Tracker).

Completing daily reporting including insightful handover notes.

Ensuring drivers are aware of, and comply with, specific site and operational requirements.

Organise and prioritise transport team with the aim of improving operational efficiency.

For this position, you will possess the following skills and experience:

Demonstratable experience in container processes and management is essential.

Need to have a hands on approach.

Intermediate Outlook & MS Excel skills with solid and accurate data entry skills.

Exceptional time management skills.
