About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a self-motivated and experienced Logistics and Transport Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Office Manager, this role is based in St Marys and will be responsible for overseeing the Transport Department. As a key member of our team, you will be tasked with driving continuous improvement, building strong relationships, and delivering results that support the continued growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily workloads, job allocation, and transport operations.

Manage the daily activities of transport staff and services.

Ensure customer service levels are met and exceeded.

Maintain and secure fleet and equipment in accordance with BSD service standards.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Plan and schedule deliveries to meet customer expectations.

Liaise with internal teams, including drivers and admin personnel.

Ensure accuracy and timely data entry.

Assist other team members and departments as required.

Provide excellent customer service through effective communication and problem-solving.

Flexibility in working hours, including overtime, to meet customer demands.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience in transport and managing a similar-sized operation.

Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) practices.

Experience with Maximas is advantageous but not essential.

Strong ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated excellence in telephone manner and customer service.

Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills.
